How to Use Charm Bracelets For Therapy

Going through a divorce is going to be a very tough time for anyone, especially if you really didn't want the divorce in the first place. Too often one person wants a divorce while the other wants to try to work out the marriage, definitely resulting in a winner and loser in an already gold bracelet stressful time. Sometimes both people want the divorce and are able to work things out on their own and just go their own way but still stay friends.

Unfortunately in my divorce I certainly wasn't able to continue to be friends with my ex-husband. Its not that I wouldn't have liked that, I really would have. I just couldn't forgive him for how he hurt me through the divorce, but I never actually lashed out at him in any way.

I found out a few months ago that my husband was having an affair. I guess I should say he finally told me on the same day he moved out and told me he was filing for divorce. The very next week I was served with divorce papers, I just couldn't believe his nerve.

I decided to go and talk to someone about how angry I was feeling. The therapist was a woman and she really did provide a lot of help. She asked me what I had always wanted and never got for myself during the 22ct gold bracelet  marriage. Without hesitation I told her a charm bracelet and a collection of charms. I have always admired charm bracelets but never found the time to get one started for myself.

For homework after that session the therapist told me to go out and select a bracelet, plus look through the charms to find symbols that would help me deal with my divorce in a non-violent and productive way. I didn't really know what she meant, but off I went to the jewelry store.

I chose a gold bracelet and went with gold charms, and I was surprised at how some of them just caught my eye. I thought gold bracelet for women of all the revenge feelings I had been having, and bought gold charms to represent each one.

Just a few of the charms I added to my bracelet include a hammer to symbolize rebuilding my life, a gold revolver to symbolize my feelings of anger and a small gold clock charm to represent my lost time.
