The Lotte Giants snapped an eight-game losing streak behind Hwang Sung-bin's quick feet and shrewd baserunning.
The Giants cruised to a 9-2 victory over the LG Twins of the KBO on Monday at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. Lotte, which was on the verge of a sweep after losing two straight games earlier in the day, snapped an eight-game losing streak with the win.
Hwang Sung-bin led the way in the win.
Starting in the No. 2 spot in center field, Hwang went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored. In the top of the first inning, Hwang took advantage of LG starter Casey Kelly's changeup to lead off the inning with a single to right field and promptly stole second base to put runners in scoring position.
Hwang Sung-bin then scored the team's first run of the game when he made a quick throw home after second baseman Shin Min-jae threw to third on Victor Reyes' infield single.
In the third inning, they rattled LG starter Kelly. With the bases loaded, Hwang 토토사이트 Sung-bin hit a foul ball toward third base and sprinted home. After the foul ball was called, Hwang returned to the plate slowly and was warned for a pitch clock violation.

Hwang Sung-bin rattled the opposing infield with his quick feet once again in the bottom of the seventh inning with the bases loaded and his team down 3-2. He hit a ground ball against LG bullpen Kim Yoo-young, but LG shortstop Oh Ji-hwan rushed to make the catch as if he was conscious of Hwang's quick feet.
With runners on first and third, Lotte faced a bases-loaded situation when Victor Reyes hit a grounder to short, but Hwang Sung-bin's quick feet kept the runners in scoring position. In the end, Lotte added five more runs in the seventh inning, thanks to Hwang Sung-bin, who shook up the LG infield.
