Besides that, they can be databases, email, operating systems and protection systems. 
  7. Engineers test, identify and diagnose system malfunctions and programming code. They do so under the set testing procedures, guidelines and quality requirements to make sure that systems perform to specification. 
  8. The professional evaluates and analyzes corporate infrastructure design. Apart from that, they propose existing and prospective hardware and technological solutions and guidance.

Visa provision: 

The ICT Support and Test Engineer 263299 occupation is currently absent on the Medium and Long term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL). In addition, it is not on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL). Therefore, you can’t apply for an Australian visa under the General Skilled Migration (GSM) Program. 

There is not any pathway for this occupation under any Australian skilled visas. So, you may desire to consider alternative routes of travel to Australia. If your age is below 31, you may be eligible for a Working Holiday Visa to Australia. This visa will allow you to live and work in Australia for a period of up to two years. 

Alternatively, if your spouse or partner has experience or is employed in one of the applications listed on the MLTSS or STSOL, use them. 

You may wish to use your spouse or partner as the main applicant if they have experience. Besides that, use them if they are employed in one of the applications currently listed on the STSOL or MLTSSL. 

Required skill level: 

Most of the occupations that fall in this group have a skill equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification. A minimum of five years of related work experience or relevant vendor certification may be used. You may use any of the two to substitute for the formal qualification. In some cases, on-the-job training or relevant work experience may be necessary besides the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). 

English language eligibility criteria: 

  • You need a result of IELTS with a score of 6 (R, L, W), 7 in speaking and 7 overall; 
  • Your OET result must be with a minimum B grade in all sections;
  • You must have TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of L:12, R:13, W:21 and S:23 overall L93); 
  • Your PTE Academic must have a minimum score of 50 (W, R, L), 65 in speaking and 65 overall. 

Exceptions

An Australian Graduate exception applies in some Australian states/territories. 

Priority Skilled Lists may apply a particular need in some Australian states. 

There are some countries free from the submission of IELTS or OET. These countries are the UK, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland and the USA. If mandatory licensing or registration is necessary, show an influential English level. These levels can either be enough to meet licensing/registration or at least IELTS, or equivalent, whichever is higher.
