This qualification reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home, or community-based environments. This Certificate aging support training program is an Australian first and is centered around accelerating skills and employment outcomes in the aged care workforce. How the program works and who it’s for? This program is for those who want to move into the aged care community sector and make an expressive difference in the lives of elderly Australians. Currently, this Certificate 4 in Ageing Support is government funded with $0 Tuition Fees (eligible for Australian Citizens and Permanent residents). *Eligibility criteria apply. Skills First Funding is available to eligible individuals with training delivered with Victorian and Commonwealth Government Funding. Also check eligibility requirements which include: 1. Over the age of 18 when commencing the traineeship 2. Traineeship: Full-time/part-time for 12 months; able to commit to regular classes (online) or practical sessions, available to work a variety of shifts across the week. 3. Students must complete a police check and be approved prior to any work experience taking place 4. Be an Australian or NZ citizen, permanent resident, or on a humanitarian visa 5. Have basic tech, numeracy, and literacy skills (ACSF level 2) 6. Relevant work experience in a related field. 7.
