PGDFSQM (Post Graduate Diploma in Food Safety and Quality Management) programme offered by IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) includes a project component, known as MVPP-001, which is mandatory for the successful completion of the course. The PGDFSQM project provides students with an opportunity to gain practical experience and apply their theoretical knowledge in the field of food safety and quality management. PGDFSQM project requires the students to choose a specific research topic that aligns with the programme objectives. The topic should be relevant, specific, and related to practical issues in the field of food safety and quality management. Once the topic is decided, students need to conduct a comprehensive literature review, which includes an analysis of existing research, laws, regulations and compliance requirements for food safety and quality management. PGDFSQM project allows the students to demonstrate their research and analytical skills, as well as their ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical issues in food safety and quality management. By doing so, it provides a valuable experience and opportunity for students to contribute insights and recommendations to the field of food safety and quality management. For more specific guidelines and information regarding the PGDFSQM project at IGNOU, students should refer to the official IGNOU website or consult with their course instructors.
