The food and beverage production industry have manufacturing processes that can have environs that contain steam, hot liquids, and air-borne liquids which are sprayed and splashed around. Such areas require constant cleaning to promote good cleanliness and minimize the onset of any corrosion or build-up of debris which may reduce the performance of the manufacturing processes. A stainless portable trolley still requires suitable and constant cleaning for better results. Since these are free from corrosion, it would be the best thing to adopt including mechanical scrubbing and the use of water, steam, nitric acid, organic solvents, alkaline solutions, and scouring powders and detergents. Care must be taken, however, for in the food preparation industry the cleanliness of surfaces is often achieved through the use of chemical disinfectants and these have a higher corrosive effect on stainless steel than many cleaning agents. As a consequence extreme care should be exercised during their use.
