Readers ask me this question all the time.

I constantly say, "Yes, you can."

Even now? even though there are currently millions of blogs in existence and millions of new postings are made every day?

Indeed. There is still a lot of opportunity to earn a living from blogging. However, you must do it correctly.

People don't know what they are getting into when they start a blog, which is the fundamental reason why so many of them fail.

What if a well-known blogger could offer you detailed guidance so you know what to watch out for?

I created this tutorial to help you learn how to achieve before you ever start, which is why I did it.

I've created several seven-figure companies out of blogs with hundreds of thousands of monthly visitors.

Every year, the WordPress blog that you are currently viewing brings in hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Success with blogging took some time to achieve. I've put a lot of effort on this over the past ten years.

I started at zero, just like everyone else. No revenue, no followers, and no blog.

How did I become the person that has millions of daily visitors to my blog?

All you have to do is read on to find out.

Your WordPress blog is the first stop on your thousand-mile journey.

To begin, you don't need any prior knowledge or technical abilities like SEO. You can get off to a good start and go in a healthy direction with a little help from me.

I'm ready if you are. Together, we can bring your blog idea to life.

WordPress Blog Launch: Your Two-Minute Quickstart Guide

Do you want to launch a WordPress blog right away?

I'll give you a basic overview of how to set one up and running as quickly as feasible in this section. After, I'll go over each step in more detail.

After deciding on a name and goal for your blog, you need to perform the following:

1.Obtain a domain name (www.your-domain-name.com) for your website so that users can access it online.

  1. Choose a web host to look after the server that hosts your website. It will take a lot more time and work to host the website yourself.
  2. Put WordPress into your website.

So how can we finish all of this as soon as possible?

If you go to 4GoodHosting and sign up for their WordPress Starter hosting plan, you may finish all three processes at once.

Typically, obtaining a domain name, web hosting, and WordPress installation require traveling to three distinct locations. It comes all together in one package with 4GoodHosting.

You can save $10 to $15 if you just get a free name with your 4GoodHosting web hosting. Not to mention the effort put forth in locating a reliable domain registrar.

However, 4GoodHosting preinstalls WordPress on your website during setup, saving you even more time.

Setting up a WordPress blog on 4GoodHosting is a ridiculously easy process.

I go into further depth about each step below. You'll discover the support you need to launch your blog, no matter where you are in the process.

Step 1: Select a Topic for Your Blog

Let's go back to the beginning. What will you write about in your blog?

Here, you have almost complete freedom. Basically, all you have to do is choose a subject that piques your interest. That is the sole prerequisite.

It doesn't need to be something you know a lot about (yet), but you also shouldn't become tired of learning about it.

To give you an idea of how many options you have, let's look at some of the most well-liked blog categories.

These are somewhat broad classifications. Consider how many utterly distinct blog categories there are simply for music. There will be blogs for bands, single artists, critics, educators, genres, and more.

Selecting how you want to blog about a topic is just as important as choosing a topic. While both a music critic and a practicing musician share their opinions about music, their blogs will have entirely different aesthetics and experiences.

Any blog topic you choose could potentially veer off into related topics. You shouldn't believe that the blog's original theme will permanently define you.

Try out a few different blog themes to determine which one most closely aligns with your passions and areas of interest.

Selecting a Domain Name for Your Blog is Step Two

You will have the necessary information to purchase a domain name for your blog once you have decided on the subject matter of your blog.

Your web address is your domain name. https://4goodhosting.com/ is the domain I'm using for this site, and it works perfectly for me.

You are trying to find anything that relates to the subject of your blog and the way you plan to write about it.

Because so many of the greatest domain names are already taken, things may become a bit complicated. This is particularly valid for domain names ending in.com.

There are innumerable domain extensions available, including.tech and.biz. Going with one of those could work better for you. However, if at all possible, use a.com extension. If need be, use your imagination.

Several Pointers for Picking a Blog Domain Name

  • Should you choose a more generic theme or use your own name? This should be easy to answer. Or are you attempting to establish a brand distinct from yourself with this blog?
  • Make typing simple. If someone accidentally fills in the address of another website, you don't want other people to see your traffic!
  • Pronounce it clearly. It's not necessary to perplex others with intricate spellings or imaginative misspellings.
  • Make it succinct. reduced characters translate into reduced typing error risk and less aggravation for the user.
  • Avoid using trademarked phrases or brand names belonging to other businesses. They'll pursue you and stop you in your tracks!
  • Attempt to use wide keywords. High-level subjects like "cooking" are excellent, but you must relate these broad concepts to more focused subjects. To generate ideas, use a keyword research tool such as Semrush.
  • Verify that the name of the blog makes sense. It must make sense to both Google and the user!

Do not use hyphens or numbers. These cause confusion and make it challenging to elucidate the domain to others.

Include terms that are relevant to your main theme, if at all possible. For instance, you might wish to use a word like "recipe" or "cooking" if you intend to talk about recipes. Try to incorporate crucial terms as much as you can, but don't force it.

Make a shortlist of domain names that you like, then select your top choice. When the domain name you desire is already taken, try these tips to think of new ones.

Avoid thinking too much about it. Acting quickly and gaining momentum is crucial. It is best to start creating pages as soon as possible because they don't rank on Google right away.

Finding a web host is necessary as soon as your domain name is ready to use.

Step3: Look for a Web Server

A web hosting provider makes your blog accessible to other people via the internet. Your blog will remain unnoticed online and receive no visitors if it is not hosted on a domain name. They cannot be separated!

There are numerous web hosting providers available in Canada. You must locate one that is trustworthy, secure, and well-regarded like 4GoodHosting.

I heartily endorse 4GoodHosting. You can obtain free domain registration and excellent web hosting.

Furthermore, they provide this excellent hosting for less than $4 a month.

The middle plan, Premium Shared Hosting, is what I advise choosing because it's the least expensive option and comes with a free domain.

Very little setup is required because everything has been optimized for WordPress. Furthermore, a user-friendly platform won't cost you a lot of money.

Let's go over the setup procedure together.

Install Your Website on 4GoodHosting in Step Four

Click this link to visit the 4GoodHosting website, where you can choose Premium Shared Hosting by clicking Start Now.

You will be sent to the checkout page once you have chosen your hosting package. Here is where you enter your payment and personal details.

One thing to bear in mind is that the $1.99 cost is only available if you pay for four years of hosting in advance.

You have the option of choosing a shorter one-year or two-year term, but depending on what special pricing 4GoodHosting is offering when you sign up, you'll probably have to pay an extra dollar or two per month.

Once you complete the checkout process and provide your payment details, 4GoodHosting's fantastic setup wizard will be displayed to you.

My favorite part is this. You only need to answer three simple questions for the 4GoodHosting wizard to customize the setup process to your preferences and degree of comfort.

It provides you with useful support if you're a rookie site builder so you don't have to figure things out on your own. If you have experience, it takes care of everything that is necessary and then moves aside to allow you to visualize the outcome in your mind.

I've decided to go through the remaining setup as a novice creating a blog for myself for the purposes of this guide.

The platform you want your website to operate on will be your next decision. As we are discussing creating a WordPress blog, feel free to choose WordPress from the menu on the left.

A form to register a new WordPress account or sign into an existing one will appear when you click Select under WordPress on 4GoodHosting. To finish that stage, you don't even need to exit the wizard.

In a kind gesture, 4GoodHosting even provides a selection of starter site themes.

Look over the themes available here if you want to expedite and simplify this process even further. All you need to do is replace the words, graphics, and colour schemes on your website with your own to keep it consistent with your brand. They will provide backgrounds, images, content, and more.

If you're not ready to commit to a theme just yet, you can always skip this stage and go to the text link that's located right below the Show More button.

The next important step is this. You'll protect the domain for your WordPress blog.

Recall that your 4GoodHosting Premium Shared Hosting plan includes this for free.

Under "Buy a Domain," on the left, select the option. Below, there will be a field where you can look up available domains.

You can skip the laborious process of determining the domain name of your future website and simply enter it here. Click Search, then select the domain name in the field.

I wholeheartedly urge you to invest the additional $10 year on WHOIS privacy. It prevents the public from learning about your personal information.

Hackers and con artists can typically see who owns any domain, but if WHOIS protection is activated, all they can see is 4GoodHosting's corporate details.

Since you're upgrading your plan with the premium WHOIS privacy add-on, you must finish the payment process on that screen. But after that, you're good to go, believe me!

It will take a few minutes for 4GoodHosting to set up WordPress and link your domain to your newly created website. You are then directed to your account dashboard after that is complete.

By selecting WordPress from the dashboard's left-hand navigation menu, you may work on your WordPress website with 4GoodHosting.

That will display the installed version of WordPress as well as any problems that require fixing (such the need to set up an SSL certificate, as seen in the above image), among many other things.

Since WordPress is set up now, you can get started on developing your blog right away. You can access the WordPress interface by simply clicking the Edit Website button on the right.

Your website is up and running and ready for users. All that remains is to produce content. So go ahead and write your very first blog article!

Hover your cursor over the Posts menu item at the top of the left-hand menu bar in your WordPress dashboard, then select Add New. This will direct you to the post editor so you can start creating content for your blog.

To customize the appearance and functionality of your WordPress blog, you can also add pages to your website (such as an About Me page) or search for themes and plugins.

But concentrating on content creation is essential. I take it that you originally intended to create a WordPress blog for this reason?

Having said that, you've completed the challenging portion of building a website and obtaining hosting and a domain name. Best wishes! You've taken an idea from your brain and created a publicly accessible blog for everyone to read.

It's a crucial step, so you want to maintain your momentum.

In summary

Now that you have a domain name, hosting, and blog topic chosen, it's time to get down to business and share your material with the world.

It all begins with your enthusiasm. You're on the right track as long as you're writing consistently and incorporating your interests and knowledge into your postings.

Continue to publish frequently as you begin to gain followers. In this manner, you may welcome each new wave of readers with a wealth of your writing to peruse.

By taking a little more time to carefully consider each blog article you write, you may really start building a following.

Nothing compares to finding yourself on page one. I wish you well on your new WordPress blog. Please report back to me and don't hesitate to contact me for assistance.
