What Types of Display System Fabric Are Available?

Display systems have been around for a while, but the last couple of years have seen them become increasingly popular. There are lots of options and styles, so it can be difficult to know which one is right for you.

Some manufacturers push fabric graphics as a premium option, with larger profit margins than standard graphics. That's not always the case, and it's important to do your research before making a purchase.

Silicone Edged Graphics (SEG)

Silicone Edged Graphics (SEG) is a new, innovative form of fabric graphics. This high resolution printing technique uses dye-sublimated fabric graphics that are edged with a sturdy, thin silicone strip. This is sewn into the satin fabric to create the look of a continuous, drum-tight graphic.

It then gets displayed onto durable, lightweight frames with strips that work as recessed grooves. This action leaves a continuous looking appearance that is not visible from the side of the frame, leaving the viewer to focus on the graphic and not the framing.

This system is a great choice for many types of displays and exhibitions. It saves labor, takes up less room and can be changed out with a new graphic quickly and easily.

SEG also comes in a variety of sizes, shapes and styles. Single-sided or double-sided designs are available along with back-lighting options.

These displays are used in retail stores, trade shows and events everywhere because they are easy to install, change out and take down. They also cost less than other graphic options and deliver beautiful results every time.

This form of fabric graphics is especially appealing for retailers who have merchandise that changes with the seasons, and corporations displaying new messages and products at annual trade shows or conferences. The SEG framework allows for easy changing of graphics and enables a seamless appearance that draws attention to the message being presented.

Twist Pop-Up Monitor Stand

Our Twist Pop-Up Monitor Stand is designed to easily integrate with our Pop-Up displays as well as many other trade show backdrops that allow for 5/8" clearance underneath. This free standing solution rests on a 23"w x 24"d x 0.5"h base and is lightweight, easy to setup and ships compactly.

This stand includes two gas strut arms that can hold up to 27" wide and 17 pound monitors and a third arm that can support a laptop, allowing you to place each item in the most ergonomic position for your needs. The arm also allows you to rotate between landscape and portrait mode, and the screen can tilt up 45 degrees for optimal viewing.

The stand can be mounted on the floor or a table top using the included hardware. It is stretch lightbox fabriclightweight, easy to move and can take a large LCD monitor for added impact on your display.

If you need a more robust stand that can handle more than one monitor, check out our dual monitor mount reviews. Our best picks feature gas strut arms that can accommodate a range of monitor sizes and weights and allow you to pan, tilt, and rotate between landscape and portrait modes.

We tested the stands based on factors like adjustability, mounting styles, carrying capacity, and more. Several options have adjustable spring tension that allows you to change the height of each arm independently of the other. Others use gas pistons to make the adjustment more smooth, but they are more expensive and wear out faster.

Fabric System

Fabric computing is a new form of hardware tech that enables network devices to act as a single pool of infrastructure, providing scalable robustness, dynamic reconfiguration, and unified security. To use the fabric, a network controller adds tags to packet headers of endpoints that are directly connected to it, and the controller assigns policies to each tag that determines what type of access or quality-of-service (QoS) the devices can receive and how they're handled.

A systematically designed smart textile lighting/display system with embedded multifunctional fibre devices has been realised, which is the first large-scale integration of this technology. The innovative fibre devices, fabricated from-or-incorporated onto-fibres, are configured to provide external stimuli detection.

Input stimuli detected by six woven F-devices (including one with a photodetector and one for environmental/biosignal monitoring) are transferred to the 34-inch F-LED display, which provides dynamic visual monitoring of input signals. In the 'display mode', the textile display displays a colour-bar chart (classified at 2.5, 2, 1.5, 1, 0.7, 0.4, 0.2 V, Movie 3).

To operate the smart textile display, example is vinyle fabric touch sensors were incorporated into each of the fibre devices. When touched, the sensors activate each device and show a pre-coded instruction on the textile display. Thermal stability of the smart textile display was tested under IPX7 water resistance condition ( 1 m deep, 30 min). The results indicate that the F-devices are mechanically stable when in use.
