Jin Qorin Always Follows Has A Special Mission To Tempt Humans To Sin
5 min read

His name is Jin Qorin , a genie from among the devils will faithfully follow you wherever you go and do your activities. What's his job? Jin Qorin has a special mission to tempt the humans he follows to always do bad things and sin.

The existence and existence of the Qorin jinn is known from the arguments of the Qur'an and al-hadith. Allah Ta'ala says,

الَ ا اۤ اَطۡغَيۡتُهٗ لٰـكِنۡ انَ ضَلٰلٍۢ

"Those who accompany people say, "Our Lord, I have not led him astray, but he is the one who is far away astray." ( Surat Qaf : 27).

Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu'anhu explained the verse that what is meant by accompanying humans is the devil who accompanies humans. From Ibn Mas'ud, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam also said, "Every one of you has been sent for him a qorin from the jinn group. The companions then asked, "Including you, O Messenger of Allah?" He sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam then replied, "Including me, only Allah helped me to subdue him, so he converted to Islam. Therefore, he ordered me nothing but good." (HR. Muslim).

Quoted from various sources, the news about the Qorin jinn is conveyed by nothing but so that humans are always vigilant. Wherever humans go, there are jinn who always whisper evil. Wherever humans are, there are demons who always forbid goodness. That's why humans easily fall into sin and feel heavy in charity.

When you want to pray, you feel lazy or delay time, or when you want to give charity, you suddenly feel like buying something. When you see friends dating, there is a desire to do the same. When you see the glamorous style of the artist, there is a desire to follow it. When there is a bad person, the tongue wants to insult. When doing small good deeds, pride arises in the heart. These are some of the things that often happen in humans. All these bad things were whispered by this Qorin genie.

This stalker genie, is indeed assigned to always whisper misgivings to humans. The big goal, of course, is to mislead people. He will continue to whisper evil until people go astray. If he is lost, then he will continue to invite evil until the human dies in a lost condition. As a result, in the afterlife, the lost human will fall into the abyss of hell and become a friend of Satan in the puddle of fire.

Allah Ta'ala says:

"Satan promises poverty for you and commands evil. While Allah promises forgiveness and bounty from Him. Allah is All-Wise, All-Knowing." (Surat al-Baqarah : 268).

When will the jinn of Qorin no longer follow humans? When humans meet their death Throughout human life, these jinn never tire of disturbing and whispering evil. He would only stop if the human he followed breathed his last.

Taking refuge from Jin's Temptation

Jin Qorin will always be there to annoy humans, and humans can't drive Jin Qorin out so that he goes away and doesn't tease anymore. But Allah has taught how to protect oneself from the temptations of this jinn.

Allah Ta'ala says,

اِمَّا الشَّيۡطٰنِ اسۡتَعِذۡ اللّٰهِ‌ؕ اِنَّهٗ لِيۡمٌ

"When Satan tempts you, seek protection from Allah. Verily, He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing” (Surah Al A'raf : 200).

By asking for protection from Allah, humans will not be easily ensnared by the temptations of the Qorin jinn. Only Allah can provide protection. Therefore, seek protection from Him. Indeed, Allah is aware of the difficulties and weaknesses of every human being, including in resisting the temptation of the Qarin jinn.

Imam As Sa'di in his commentary explains the verse in Surah Al A'raf above. He said, whenever the time and under any conditions, when you feel there are temptations and whispers of Satan, then ask Allah for protection. When the desire arises to commit immorality and sin, or feels that there are whispers that prevent it from doing good, then immediately seek Allah's protection and rely only on Him.

Asking for Allah's protection can be done by reading the ta'awudz prayer, namely saying "A'udzubillahi min-ash syaithani-r rajim." It can also be done by reading the verses of protection, namely Surah An Naas and Al Falaq, or by doing two rak'ahs of sunnah prayers.
