2nd round co-leader Kim Chan-woo

As of 4:45 p.m Last year's prize money winner, Park Sang-hyun, chased by 4 strokes

Kim Chan-woo and Yoon Sang-pil tied for the lead on the second day of the DB Insurance Promy Open, the opening game of the 2024 season of the Korea Professional Golf (KPGA) Tour.

In the second round of the tournament held at the Raviebel Country Club Old Course (par 71) in Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do on the 12th, Kim Chan-woo reduced 3 strokes with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys, hitting a total of 10 under par 132 strokes.

Kim Chan-woo, who is aiming for his second tour win after winning the Bizplay Electronic Newspaper Open last year, has reached the halfway point of the tournament in a joint lead with Yoon Sang-pil as of 4:45 p.m. 스포츠 토토사이트

Kim Chan-woo, who started from the 10th hole, alternated between birdies and bogeys until the 15th hole, reducing one stroke, and then made consecutive birdies at the 7th hole (par 3) and 8th hole (par 4).

Kim Chan-woo said, “Today, the pins were stuck on both sides of the green, but I had a good strategy. As my tee shot has improved since the second half of last year, I have gained confidence in other shots as well.”

Sang-Pil Yoon, who was the sole leader in the first round, was unable to reduce the number of strokes by trading two birdies and two bogeys, so he fell one step to the joint lead.

Sangpil Yoon, who hit a course record of 61 the previous day, said, “I expected a difficult match today because the match went so well yesterday,” and “But since I didn’t lose the lead, I will calmly play out the remaining matches.”

As the wind blew in the afternoon and the greens became hard, players who started the game in the afternoon were unable to reduce their number of strokes much.

On the other hand, Gyu-min Lee, who started the game in the morning, chased the joint leader by one stroke with an interim total of 9 under par 133, reducing 6 strokes.

Kang Gyu-seok, who played in the same group as Lee Gyu-min, also reduced 7 strokes and recorded an intermediate total of 7 under par, 135 strokes.

Last year's prize money winner, Park Sang-hyun, who continued to play with an ankle injury, reduced 2 strokes with skillful game management and rose to the top with an intermediate total of 6 under par 136 strokes. It is 4 strokes behind the joint leader.

Sang-Hyun Park won this competition in 2022 held at the same course, and took second place in this competition in 2023. 19가이드03
