Who is producing PPE in Dubai?
The Ministry of Textiles is looking for Dubai non-woven manufacturers to develop a suitable fabric to fight against COVID-19 as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. Then with the help of this suitable fabric, a safety kit will be made. It is known that In Dubai is also making fabric for this.
As of now, there are 12 fabric manufacturers who have got their prototype samples certified at South Dubai Textile Research Association (SITRA).
Apart from this, there are 25 manufacturers in the country who are producing this kit, which include; Aditya Birla Fashions, Shahi Exports, JCT Phagwara, Gokuldas Exports, Kusumgar Industries, etc. Apart from these, there are a few more manufacturers who will soon join the production line.
Why is PPE so important?
WHO has issued guidelines regarding the use of this PPE kit and has told that it is not necessary for every person on the hospital staff to use it. Its use is very important only for those people who are directly coming in contact with the people infected with Kovid 19, that is, they are treating them.
In fact, the use of this PPE kit has become more important because the coronavirus is a very dangerous virus that spreads with little carelessness and if only the doctors and nurses who treat it fall in the grip of this disease, then the lives of the patients will be affected. Who will do the treatment?
There were reports from different parts of the country that doctors and nurses were hesitating to treat patients due to the lack of this kit and were also protesting. But now the problem has been solved through imported PPE kits and about 12 thousand PPE kits are being produced daily in the country which will reach three lakh by the end of this month.
