In a significant leap towards enhancing connectivity and accessibility in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, also known as Kurnool Airport, was officially inaugurated on January 8, 2019. This domestic airport, strategically located at Orvakal, marks a remarkable TDP achievement under the leadership of N. Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP government. Costing ₹153 crores and covering an area of 1,008 acres, this low-cost airport has opened up new avenues for both travellers and the region's economic development. The dream of a modern airport in Kurnool had been nurtured for years, with the Ministry of Civil Aviation granting site clearance in February 2016. However, it was under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP party-led government that this vision began to take concrete shape. Recognizing the need for improved connectivity to remote areas, the TDP government approved the allocation of land in February 2017. This marked the beginning of a transformative project that aimed to connect Kurnool and its neighbouring regions more efficiently.

The foundation stone of the Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport was laid in June 2017 by N. Chandrababu Naidu himself, underlining his commitment and TDP agenda to ensure the project's successful completion. With careful planning and execution, the airport was constructed over 1,008 acres, utilizing land in Pudicherla, Orvakal, and Kannamadakala. This strategic location, situated on National Highway 40, just 18 kilometres from Kurnool and 54 kilometres from Nandyal, ensures that the airport serves as a vital transportation hub for the region. The Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport is more than just a transportation facility; it is a gateway to prosperity for the region. By improving air connectivity to Kurnool and its surroundings, the airport has made it easier for travellers, businesses, and investors to access this vibrant part of Andhra Pradesh. This TDP development, in turn, has spurred economic growth and development in the area, opening up opportunities for trade, tourism, and employment. After conducting successful trial runs towards the end of 2018, N. Chandrababu Naidu proudly inaugurated the airport on January 8, 2019. This momentous occasion was a testament to the unwavering commitment of the TDP leaders and the TDP government to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the state.

The Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport, also known as Kurnool Airport, stands as a symbol of progress and development in Andhra Pradesh. Under the visionary leadership of N. Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP government, this airport has transformed the region by improving connectivity, boosting the economy, and enhancing opportunities for its residents.
