Liquid Eyeliner Hacks You Need To Know

Liquid Eyeliner Hacks You Need To Know
5 min read

If you have not picked up a liquid eyeliner online in a while, you might be surprised at how much you have forgotten. Liquid eyeliner is one of those products that can look more impressive in your eyes than in real life, but once you are out of the house, you might realize it was the wrong move. We have to be honest though, liquid eyeliner can be downright difficult to apply, and many of us give up way too early.

It doesn’t have to be this way though. You can learn how to make your liquid eyeline0r online last with these 5 makeup hacks!

1. Using An Eyelash Curler

When applying Revlon liquid eyeliner, you want to curl your eyelashes so that the liner will look as natural as possible. It is easier to do this with a mascara wand, but liquid eyeliner is another story. When you apply liquid eyeliner, you want the eyeliner to be liquid, but you want it to dry to a solid line on the lid. Curling your lashes does the latter, but it does the former to an extent.

Why is this important? It’s a really good way to avoid looking like you are wearing makeup because it looks really good. Some women do this for a living, so there is no reason not to! You can also go for the fancy lash curler you see in some beauty videos, but in our opinion, the most effective one to use is the old-school mascara wand.

2. Using A Soft Eye Primer

When you apply Revlon liquid eyeliner, you need to ensure it doesn’t get on your eye makeup. This can be a bit difficult to do with normal eye makeup, but with the right eye primer, you can get a quick fix. We like to use the same one we use to prime our foundation before applying eye makeup. It helps us with getting the eyeliner just right and it makes us less likely to smudge the eyeliner.

3. Don’t Over Apply

You will also want to keep the liquid eyeliner on top of your eyebrows, but if you apply too much, it can look like you have dark brown makeup on. A lot of us apply more on our upper lash line than we should and this is not necessary. The best way to get this to look natural is to simply place a pencil on top of the eyeliner and then blend it out. You can just blend it out with your finger, but we have also found that it helps to tap your finger against your lids a couple of times before blending it.

4. Smudging It Out With A Liner Brush

If you are not going for a smoky eye or dramatic winged eyeliner, you can do this to get the liner on your lid to look as perfect as possible. The easiest way to do this is to use a liner brush with liquid eyeliner, and we find that these are perfect for this.

Most people find that you have to keep working the liquid eyeliner on your lid with a brush to get it looking good, but you don’t have to. You can do this with your finger or you can also use a cotton bud. We have found that if you take a little bit of the liquid eyeliner and smudge it out with a brush, you get the best of both worlds. You have a nice thick line and it is not super smudged looking.

5. Use Your Finger

Another one of our favorite methods to keep your liquid eyeliner looking good is to use your finger. Take a little bit of the liquid eyeliner, place your finger on your lids, and start moving it. Use your thumb and your fingers to cover your entire lid and make sure you do not go for the crease of the eye, as this is where you may have smudged it. We often use a little bit of eyeliner so that we can also put some in our eyes to make our eyes more eye-catching.

There are plenty of other makeup tricks out there, but we think these are the 5 best for keeping your Revlon liquid eyeliner looking good all day. As with most products, liquid eyeliner comes with some pros and cons. You have to be careful not to use it too much, but there is no reason not to use it. We hope these 5 makeup hacks have helped you!
