Looking For Answer Through Faith

Looking For Answer Through Faith
4 min read

When we’re stuck in a challenging situation, we feel puzzled. The longer you look at and think about it, the more anxious you feel. No matter how hard you try to find the answer, you meet a dead-end. And in the process, you get disheartened that the answer you seek is not only far from reach but unseen.

In times like these, where do we go? Who do we turn to?

“Have faith in God, Jesus said to them.”

Mark 11:22

Faith is a strong function in and of itself, but the object of faith is more telling and important. The implied object of faith is God. Faith in God is reasonable and warranted, whether or not God heals, saves, or delivers.

Faith is especially tested when God does not act in a way consistent with love, mercy, or deliverance. Yet, if Plato, C. S. Lewis, and others are correct, then there may be a spiritual corollary to every physical/material law.

What if there’s a spiritual corollary to the first law of thermodynamics (conservation law of matter and energy)? Then nothing spiritual is lost (to God)—meaning, a person who was born into an unkind world, a person that never tasted clean/fresh water in their life, a person who never knew love or respect, who never knew what it felt like not to be hungry or sick, who never even experienced one good day in their life, is not a wasted life or an ultimate tragedy as God will deliver, heal, and restore this soul, and the new life in blessing will eclipse the past life of suffering. Indeed, there may be a spiritual law corollary to every material law we know.

If we stick around long enough, changing our perspective and choosing to live a faithful life, we will soon come to understand that the answer is closer than we think.

Instead of worrying, we must surrender to the Father in Heaven. However, this is easier said than done. We, as humans, need visible reassurances. And when they are not given to us, we feel perplexed and puzzled.

Matthew 6:26-27 says:

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

If we are focused too much on the negative or the hardship, we will fail to capitalize on and welcome blessings in our lives.
