Love the Top Job! Albanese Enjoys a Beer at the Gang of Youths Concert

Anthony Albanese has stolen the show at an indie rock show, downing a beer and having the best time of his life.



The Australian Prime Minister was in the front row in the gallery of the Enmore Theatre in Sydney for the Gang of Youths concert on Monday night.



After being spotted by fans in the stalls below, Mr Albanese took a sip of the beer he was drinking before displaying the empty cup to the crowd.



His efforts were greeted by a roar of cheers from the adoring auditorium.

Posts of Mr Albanese's drinking effort quickly became viral online, with many comparing it to the efforts of former larrikin Australian prime minister Bob Hawke.



'I don't think I ever witnessed a group of theatre-goers, turn to the bleachers, and clap for the former Prime Minister", wrote one writer.

Although it isn't known whether Mr. Albanese was invited by the band, he is well-known for frequent attendance at music festivals and being close to many artists in the area including Sticky Fingers.



Enmore Theatre is located in Mr Albanese's electoral district of Grayndler. He is also an avid fan of indie rock and has also hosted Rage which was an ABC music video show.

The PM's presence at the game was greeted with a stern contrast to Scott Morrison's reception at footy games , where there were occasions when he was heckled by Cronulla Sharks fans.
