Making pour-over coffee

• First, bring cold water to a boil.
 
• If you are using whole beans, grind those beans for a good consistency.
 
• Meanwhile, you can put a filter in the brewer and rinse it with hot water. Doing this will remove the papery residue on the filter and warms the brewer. Discard the water used for rinsing.
 
• Add the ground coffee to the filter and make sure that the ground is leveled. Check the water temperature and pour it slowly and steadily to saturate thoroughly, starting from the middle and working your way outward. Stop running when you feel that the coffee will start to drip through.
 
• Slowly pour in the remaining water, keeping the water in the dripper between half and three-quarters full. This should not take more than 3-4 minutes.
