Minecraft PS4 Fails Certification as August Creeps to a Close

It's likely that Minecraft will meet the August release date on PS4 after it failed the Sony certification tests. The game is now back at the fixing board at 4J Studios. The team must submit the game again to be certified before it can be released.



4J has been busy resolving bugs and squishing issues throughout the month, and not just on the PS4 version, but also in the coming Xbox One and Vita releases too. We approached the studio to confirm the delay and find out if it will affect the PS4 version only or other platforms. All three versions are due to be released this month.



Sony discovered a few issues that we need to fix during their final test of #MinecraftPS4:( We're working on it, but we need to go through the process again.

The owners of downloaded Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be capable of upgrading to Xbox One and PS4 respectively at a cost of $5. The offer will last for at least a year past release date. The new ports will offer bigger worlds and more draw distance than previous console releases.



For the Vita version it's cross-buy with PS3 which means that those who purchased Minecraft on the console will get the handheld version for free, while new buyers will unlock the game on both PS3 and Vita. minecraft server list Similar to other ports, the price for grinding your pickaxe on Vita is $20.
