In the aftermath of the division between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu (NCBN) emerged as the first Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. However, his new role came with a unique set of challenges stemming from the freshly formed state. Chandrababu Naidu's ambitious plan was nothing short of transformational. He envisioned that by 2022, Andhra Pradesh would rank among the top three states in India. By 2029, it would stand as a well-developed state, and by 2050, it would become the world's premier investment destination. This ambitious journey required sustained double-digit growth within the state's economy, anchored in a thorough systemic overhaul. Economic development emerged as the linchpin of his agenda. Understanding the pivotal role of economic prosperity, Chandrababu  Naidu focused on attracting investments and promoting business opportunities. However, the crux of the matter lay in choosing the right location for the capital city—a decision crucial for the state's growth. Two cities, Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam, were already well-developed in Andhra Pradesh. Yet, Vijayawada's limited room for expansion and Vishakapatnam's geographical distance posed challenges. Chandrababu Naidu, relying on expert advice, made the audacious decision to build a world-class capital from scratch: Amaravati. However, this monumental undertaking required substantial land acquisition and significant funding, which the state's earnings couldn't entirely cover. Chandrababu Naidu devised a pioneering approach—offering a quarter of developed land to landowners for every acre acquired. This innovative scheme allowed landowners to profit through various means, such as renting structures or businesses. Remarkably, nearly all landowners embraced this approach, resulting in the acquisition of 33,000 acres of land—an unprecedented achievement.

To embark on the construction of this grand vision, an estimated 52,000 crores were needed. However, the state government's initial allocation was only 1500 crores. To bridge this financial gap, the Andhra Pradesh government turned to the Bombay Stock Exchange, raising an additional 2000 crores at an interest rate of 10.34 per cent. Support from businesses and banks further bolstered this initiative. Chandrababu Naidu's vision entailed transforming Amaravati into a thriving metropolis akin to Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Delhi, which had been developing for over half a century. Given the latest technology and careful planning, Amaravati held the potential to become a world-class capital under NCBN's leadership. This is one of the Top TDP Achievement which is done by TDP Leaders and TDP MLAs under the leadership of NCBN.

N Chandrababu Naidu's tenure as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was marked by visionary goals for economic development and the creation of a world-class capital in Amaravati. His innovative land acquisition approach, financial acumen, and relentless pursuit of progress showcased his commitment to turning Andhra Pradesh into an economic powerhouse. If realized as planned, Amaravati could indeed stand as a shining example of transformative development in India.
