Necessary Documents For The RPL ACS Australia Skill Assessment
5 min read

Your RPL ACS Australia skill assessment will be incomplete unless you submit all the required documents. It is because your documents are proof of not only your identity but also of your competency.

Therefore, knowing the required documents for the RPL ACS Australia skill assessment is a must for you. So, we have written this blog to familiarize you with the necessary documents. Apart from that, we will also let you know the details you need to include in your documents. When your documents are effective and flawless, they will increase the chance of a successful assessment.

Required documents:

We have divided the documents into three sections to facilitate your understanding:

  • Personal
  • Qualification
  • Experience
  • Personal documents:

Birth Certificate or Passport:

ACS requires a colour scan of your passport. It’s a must for you to present the identity page of your passport. This page has your name, address and other information.

Name change proof:

Submit a clear colour scan of the document if having recently changed your name.

CV/resume:

As per ACS standards, you need to upload your CV in the personal part of the application form.

Qualification documents:

  • Academic Background:

For your Australian Qualifications, give a good colour scan of your academic transcript and an award certificate or completion letter. In the case of having attached your master’s degree, submit a bachelor’s degree too. In your qualifying paperwork, include the below-listed information for an RPL ACS Australia skill assessment:

  • Degree Title/Award in Education
  • The university name where you earned the degree
  • Course details like marks/grades you earned for each unit or subject
  • The education degree completion date
  • Vendor evaluation:

Provide the authority with the vendor login information for verification reasons to become eligible as a Microsoft vendor.

When having submitted the form, the authority will prompt you to put in your login credentials. You can attach this information as a PDF file if you want.

Experience documents:

Provide ACS with a colour scan of your job references on business letterhead. Or, you can also provide it with a third-party statutory declaration.

Things to consider when preparing work experience documents:

  • Your experience must be with the start and end dates of your employment. If still working, don’t forget to write the end date as ‘To date’.
  • For the chosen occupation, explain all of the tasks and obligations you had in your work time.
  • Don’t forget to mention the total number of hours worked each week. You must mention the work you did was a full-time or part-time job.
  • Give the name of the country in which you worked. You must write the date and location of the workplaces if it is in the same nation but different places.
  • The author must sign your organizational letterhead with their name, position title, address and phone number.

Third-party statutory declaration requirements:

Third-party workmates working at the executive level give the statutory declaration. The third party has to state their professional connection with you. In addition, they must mention the responsibilities fulfilled through the employment term, together with the related dates.

It must be specified that the document was witnessed before authorized personnel. Moreover, it must be with the date and location of the declaration.

Considerations for the online application form:

PDF file requirements:

Remember to merge your documents into a single PDF file with information about your qualifications and work background. Keep the size of your PDF file no more than 3 MB. In addition, ensure that your PDF file is encrypted or set to read-only mode. The PDF file is copied, and after that, it is pasted into the application form on the website.

Original certificates:

Ensure that you submit high-quality colour scans of your original licences, certificates, passports, resumes and the like. Everything must be with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. Before you submit papers online, you must check the digital signature twice.

Documentation supplements:

If the assessment authority finds your claim not sufficient, it may ask for further documents. In such instances, submit extra or updated papers supporting your claim. You need to rename the document to make it different from others that you have already submitted.

Document translation:

You must submit a paper that is completely in English for an RPL Australian Computer Society skills assessment. If the document is not in English, include an acceptable English translation. Submit both your original and translated documents together.

Inside Australia translation: Translations are acceptable if approved by NAAT (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) for use within Australia.

Outside Australia translation:

Translations are acceptable if fulfilling the following criteria:

  • High Commission Consulate or Embassy of Australia
  • The Australian Education International Section, Ministry of Justice or equivalent where the qualified was acquired (AEIS)
  • Institutes, Commercial or Private Translators that have won awards
