WASI the WebAssembly System Interface that provides access to APIs of the operating system. This is the second major Standard of the WebAssembly Ecosystem in addition to WASM itself. Node.js had to get in the spring this year an experimental Support for WASM; now we have a proposal for the Integration of a WASI-Support. Node-Contributor Colin Ihrig has this week in a Pull Request submitted on GitHub an initial Version of it and for Feedback asked. This Node-Integration of WASI-based for the C-Dependency on uvwasi, an API for system calls in WASI, which is based on Libuv. uvwasi itself is still experimental, and WASI is a young specification, so expect Changes to it. To WASI in the Node arrives, so take a little time. The current Support of WASM in the Node, we also spoke in the Interview with Franziska hinkelmann.
