Jupyter has in recent years become increasingly well-known. Especially in the area of Machine learning with Python is often worked with Jupyter Notebooks. The platform, however, is not limited thereto. Many other programming languages can be used in it. With tslab new possibilities for server-side JavaScript are now added.

tslab brings server-side JavaScript with Node.js in Jupyter. The project supports JavaScript and TypeScript on Node.js and can be used both with Jupyter Notebooks as well as with JupyterLab. In order node.js available now in an Online development environment. Used tslab can be, among other things, for Machine Learning with TensorFlow.js.

The project of Yu Watanabe works with JavaScript and TypeScript and the JavaScript mode, the types should be, so the Code Completion and Code Inspection for both variants can be used. Also tslab supports the Option to display other content, such as images and HTML. Through the Integration of TypeScript 3.7 can be used with Optional Chaining worked.

For the use of tslab must be given to the conditions for the use of Jupyter. To do this, Python 3 must.x has to be installed, as well as Jupyter Notebook or JupyterLab. Examples of Notebooks that have been created with tslab, can be found on the GitHub page of the project.
