The 2023 Korean Professional Baseball Most Valuable Player (MVP) Eric Pedroia (30) will finally return to the major leagues.

On June 6, local media such as CBS Sports reported that "Pedi signed a two-year contract with the Chicago White Sox for a total of $15 million (approximately 19.7 billion won). This marks his return to the major leagues after playing in the KBO this year."

The official website of Major League Baseball also reported the news of Pedi's contract, saying, "The Chicago White Sox will make an official announcement after the medical test."

Pedi broke into the KBO this year after joining the NC, going 20-6 with a 2.00 ERA in 30 games. He struck out 209 batters, becoming the fifth player in KBO history and the first foreigner to achieve 20 wins and 200 strikeouts in a season. He also swept the top three spots in wins, ERA, and strikeouts, becoming only the fourth pitcher in history to win the triple crown.

After his dominant performance, Pedi was overwhelmingly voted the regular season MVP. He returned to the U.S. after the playoffs, but unlike other foreign players, he traveled back to Korea with his father to attend the awards ceremony, where he was genuinely happy to receive the award and cherished the trophy to much applause.

NC made an effort to keep him until the end. Even though Pedi's chances of making it to the major leagues were very high and his determination was strong, NC offered him a substantial multi-year contract after the MVP ceremony. However, the White Sox offered him a better deal, and the two teams parted ways after just one year.

Peddy played in Washington from 2017 to 2022. He earned around 2.8 billion won ($2.8 million) for his five starts last year, and after a successful year in the KBO, he more than tripled his salary to return to the major leagues.

Major League Baseball is raising expectations for Peddie in light of the 토토사이트 success of Merrill Kelly (Arizona), who returned to the big leagues after a successful stint with SK in the KBO.

According to Major League Baseball's official website, "The White Sox are hoping that Peddie will be a reverse export success story, following in Kelly's footsteps."

With Peddie, the White Sox are able to fill a spot in their starting rotation. The White Sox are expected to go with a five-man rotation of Dylan Sease-Michael Kopeck-Peddy-Michael Soroka-Jared Schuster," with Peddie expected to be the third starter.
