Polyurethane vs The Rest of Them

Polyurethane adhesives are considered the superheroes of glues. They are the top choice for use in situations where versatility, strength, and water resistance are important considerations. But they do tend to give the wallet quite the workout and can cost considerably more than other adhesives.

Epoxy adhesives also have the muscles and can resist moisture but are not as flexible as polyurethane which can make them rather difficult to work with. 

Silicone adhesives are flexible and water-resistant but do not possess the strength that both epoxy and polyurethane adhesive have.

Hot melt adhesives are very easy to use and can set very quickly may mean time saving, but they do not have the strength of other adhesives and can be quite brittle and inflexible.
