Unidentified assailants attacked Sidhu Moose wala , a popular Punjabi singer, in Mansa district in Punjab on May 29 and shot him to death.
The firing incident result in three people being injured. This incident occurred just a day following the withdrawal of security for 424 persons, including Moosewala by Punjab Police.
VK Bhawra, Director-General Police Punjab (DGP Punjab), has confirm that Lawrence Bishnoi's gang claim responsibility for the attack. It seems like an inter-gang rivalry.
He was traveling with two of his friends in his jeep when the singer was attack. Reporters were told by Dr Ranjeet Rai, Mansa civil surgeon that Sidhu Mousewala was taken to a civil hospital. He state that two other victims of bullet injuries were refer to another hospital.
PTI was told by Mansa Gobinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Polic (Mansa), that several bullets struck Moosewala who was riding in his jeep at Jawahar Ke at the time he was attack.
Gaurav Toora, SSP Mansa, told ANI that Sidhu Moose Wala was intercept by two cars. This follow heavy firing and Sidhu Moose Wala sustain multiple bullet injuries.
He said, "Preliminary investigations show it to be inter-gang rivalry. Sidhu Moose Wala did not take his gunman and bulletproof car today. FIR is being registered. We will immediately take action against the gangsters and those involve."
According to the DGP, they are working hard to resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Moosewala join Congress last year, just before the Punjab Assembly elections. He had been a candidate for Mansa in the elections and was defeat by Vijay Singla, an AAP candidate.
In a tweet, Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Chief Minister, express shock and state that no one will be spare.
"I am shock and deeply saddened at the horrific murder of Siddhu Mousewala. No one will be spared. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and all his supporters around the globe. Mann sent a tweet asking for everyone's calm.
