Special Olympics Korea (Chairman Lee Yong-hoon), the leading cultural and sports organization for people with developmental disabilities, held the '2023 Special Night' at BBCH Hall at the Gwanglim Art Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 9th.

The concert commemorated the 10th anniversary of the International Special Music & Art Festival (organizer Na Kyung-won), which was launched as a legacy project of the 2013 Special Olympics World Games Pyeongchang, and featured performances by outstanding artists who have graced various stages such as the United Nations and the Abu Dhabi Cultural Festival.

The '2023 Special Night' was conducted by Kim Dae-jin, President of Korea National University of Arts, and conducted by Kim Dong-soo, Professor of Sungshin Women's University, and was hosted by Jeong Hee-jung, General Director of Barrier-Free Opera, 바카라사이트 with an audience of about 1,000 people.

The first part of the concert featured a variety of classical performances including cello, clarinet, trumpet, flute, piano, and vocal music by the Love Sharing Choir, as well as a magnificent performance by the 32 Hands Grand Piano, a 16-member piano ensemble.

The second part of the concert featured violin and clarinet melodies, followed by an orchestra of 40 artists with developmental disabilities and 10 vocalists, who performed moving songs such as "To the Land of Hope" and "You raise me up," receiving warm applause from the audience.

"We hope that it was a gift to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the International Special Music & Art Festival with a large audience and to celebrate the dreams and hopes of artists with developmental disabilities," said Lee Yong-hoon, President of Special Olympics Korea. "We will continue to support the growth of artists with developmental disabilities and do our best to draw an integrated society where people with and without disabilities live together."

"We hope that you will remember the stage of the proud artists with developmental disabilities for a long time, and we look forward to cheering them on when you meet them one day, as they take another step forward," said Kyung-won Na, Honorary President of Special Olympics Korea.

The '2023 Special Night' was sponsored by Lotte Card, with support from Gwanglim Church and Varona Cosmetics, to create a year-end stage for artists with developmental disabilities.
