We all understand that our oral health is as crucial as our overall physical health. If you want to physically fit all the time, just taking care of your bones and muscles will play a role for sure however, the role of your teeth and gums in keeping you healthy cannot be overlooked.

Our teeth and gums play a great role in keeping your health in good shape. Poor oral hygiene or problems with teeth can lead to a wide range of issues including:

Bad Breath
Digestion problems due to improper chewing of food
Migraines triggered by bruxism
Gum infections

In order to keep away from serious oral health issues, it is vital to practice proper oral hygiene by adopting some basic habits including:

1. Brushing your teeth twice a day for 2 minutes each time.
2. Using a thread flosser to get rid of the food remains stalled in between the gaps of the teeth.
3. Cleaning the tongue to get rid of the bacteria.
4. Using a mouthwash in between the meals to prevent the formation of acids in the mouth
5. Following a healthy eating regime and staying away from foods that can harm your teeth and gum health.
6. Visiting your dentist or Lower Gwynedd Orthodontist on a regular basis for routine checkups and assessment.
It is crucial to know that if you go on ignoring your oral health issues for long, they are bound to take a toll on your overall health and wellbeing. Hence, follow a proper oral health routine and stay healthy forever.
