The Los Angeles Dodgers have won just two of their last seven games. The three-game series against the San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals both ended in losses. And that was at home.
Dodgers fans shouldn't be too concerned, however, as they've only played 20 games. The Dodgers got off to a rough start last year as well, but still managed to win 100 games.
However, the current Dodgers atmosphere seems to revolve too much around Shohei Ohtani. It's becoming a team of Otani, by Otani, and for Otani.
Everything is centered on one man, Mr. Ohtani. American, Japanese, and South Korean media outlets have been reporting on his every move in detail. The recent scandal involving former interpreter Ippei Mizuhara's illegal sports betting has put Ohtani in the spotlight.
On the field, all the focus is on Ohtani's batting performance. The other players are just "supporting cast". They don't care if the team wins or loses. The only thing they care about is how Ohtani hits.
That"s because he"s a superstar.
However, while this might be fine in an individual game, it's something to be wary of in a team event. Too much attention to one player can be detrimental to the team as a whole.
Ohtani is on fire right now. However, he's not contributing like a superstar to the 안전놀이터 team's victories. His 5.3 RBI average is a testament to that.
"Winning a championship is not about having one superstar," Chung Yong-jin, vice chairman of Shinsegae Group, the owner of the SSG Landers, was quoted as saying about Ryu's return to the KBO.
Speaking at the completion of the introductory training for the new employee group at Shinsegae Namsan, Shinsegae Group's urban talent development center, on Feb. 23, Chung said of Ryu's return, "Baseball is a game that shouldn't be played even if one person is exceptionally good," adding, "(Winning) isn't about having one superstar, it's more about teamwork, friendship, and communication with teammates."
The Los Angeles Angels didn't make it to fall ball with Ohtani. However, Ohtani was a two-time MVP with the Angels.

D'Artagnan and his friends chant "All for one! One for all!" (All for one! One for all!) and become one. They put aside their selfishness and join forces to fight injustice.
This is not to say that Ohtani is selfish; he's trying to win for the team. The problem is that the Angels and the Dodgers are making him the only player to shine. The Dodgers should be a team of all players, by all players, and for all players, not just Ohtani.
