The Impact on Victim’s Families and Coping with Grief
2 min read

It is every parent's nightmare to see a child suffering in pain and unable to help them. As we know, there are only a growing number of cases of children’s abduction, molestation, assault, and killing. There have been cases involving children being raped and tortured to death. One can’t imagine the pain of their parents and loved ones. Victim’s families find it impossible to recover from the grief sometimes and are not able to cope with the loss; it most definitely shocks them to the core.

As much as people, media, law enforcement, or their friends would like to help them, they couldn’t find the words to make even a bit better. It is a trauma that no person should ever go through.

After such a horrific incident, family members get more isolated and prefer to be left alone with their grief. They may think no power can help them in any way possible. Many times, as seen, some may indulge in harmful activities, seek revenge, turn into a toxic mentality, and shut people out entirely. Moreover, couples ended up getting divorced after their child was killed.

Many victims’ families are grieving over the passing of their children, siblings, or friends; they can’t take out their grief and might not know the right way. We could only help them by protecting each other’s children, looking out for them, and informing law enforcement of any suspicious activity. These maniacs with damaged mindsets should be kept and dealt with in different ways. Our moral duty is to protect our environment, homes, schools, and recreational places so our children can grow up in a safer environment, which is only possible if done collectively.
