Your car is a home away from home, and since you spend so much time in it, it should be kept clean and organized just like your living space at home. Follow this guide to thoroughly clean your car’s interior without spending any extra time or money on the process! Preparation

The first thing you'll want to do is gather your supplies. For this job, you'll need a bucket, some water, a few rags and towels, car cleaner or soap (depending on the type of interior), cloths or paper towels, and cleaning solution. You may also want to have some dry towels on hand as well. If you're cleaning leather upholstery and mats, be sure to get leather cleaner too. If you have seats that are heated or cooled with air conditioning, be sure to turn off the air before starting your cleaning!

You'll want to start with the floor mats. Start by removing them from their clips or hooks. Then use a brush to clean any dirt out from in between the cracks. Dry them off with a towel, then go over them again using only soap and water. If there are stains or spills, use a cleaner specifically made for cleaning upholstery fabric. Let it soak in for a few minutes before wiping it clean with a soft cloth or paper towel. Floors and Carpets

If you're tired of the dirt and grime that seems to accumulate no matter how often you vacuum, it might be time for a deep clean. Here are a few tips for cleaning the inside of your car with ease.

-Start by removing all loose debris from floor mats, seats, and any nooks and crannies that may have collected small objects. -Vacuum up any remaining dust or dirt on floor mats and carpets. -Spray stubborn stains with a pre-wash product like Resolve Fabric & Upholstery cleaner or OxiClean Max Force Spray Stain Remover. Let sit for 30 minutes before scrubbing away with a brush or sponge dipped in warm water.

Dashboard and Center Console

Dashboard and Center Fuse Box - Remove the screws on the center console, then pop it open. Then remove the screws holding in the dashboard. Carefully pull out any wires that are attached to the fuse box, then remove it.

Center Console - Remove the screws from the back of the center console, then pry up on it until it pops off. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean all of those little cracks and crevices where dirt can hide. Once that is done, spray some steamgrønt into a cloth and use it to clean down every surface you can find.

Dashboard - Use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of all dust particles that have settled into your dashboard over time.

Windows

Cleaning your car's windows is one of the easiest and most important tasks. Windshield wipers can work well, but they will only remove dirt and water. For a more thorough clean, you'll want to start by removing any ice or snow from the windows with a scraper. After that, use a damp cloth or chamois (a soft leather like cloth) to wipe away any remaining grime and debris. If there are any stubborn stains, apply some window cleaner and let it sit for about 10 minutes before wiping it off with a lint-free cloth. Next, take out your steamgrønt or other cleaning agent and set up your steamer on the floor of your garage.

Finishing Touches

One last thing to do before you're finished? Give the car a thorough vacuuming. It might seem like an excessive step, but it'll help keep the interior cleaner for longer by removing all those tiny particles of dust and dirt that are so often missed during a regular cleaning. You'll also want to use a damp cloth to clean out any dirt or spills in the footwells and to wipe down the surfaces in your car, as well as behind and under the seats.
