Typhon Ergonomic Chair: Should You Consider It?

7 min read

We spend a lot of time sitting, whether it's for work or socializing. This can cause back problems later in life, so it's essential to have a comfortable and supportive chair.

We put the gaming chair to the test to see if it is comfortable and supportive, reduces pressure build-up, and encourages healthy movement.

We want our readers to have a chair that lasts them for years-- one that they can rely on for comfort day in and day out.

Read on to find out if the Eureka Ergonomic Typhon gaming chair can help you work and play at your best.

Features of The Typhon Ergonomic Chair

The Typhon Ergonomic Chair is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to improve their overall health, whether they're gamers or office workers. Here's what makes this chair so unique:

Smart Adjustable 4D Armrests

The chair is adjustable in height, sideways, front and back, and in and out to relax the shoulders and arms and relieve fatigue. It also provides strong support and protection for the back and spine. The chair is made of durable materials that are easy to clean and maintain.

Reclining Function

The backrest can be reclined from 90° to 135°, so you can find the perfect angle for reading, gaming, or working. When you don't need the recline function, you can lock it in place at any angle between 90° and 135°.

Adjustable Lumbar

Both the lumbar and headrest cushions are adjustable to customize your support and comfort. The headrest cushion can also be removed if you prefer not to use it.

Ergonomic Design

The Typhon by Eureka Ergonomic is designed to provide optimal support and comfort for long hours of sitting. It features a contoured seat and breathable mesh back that conforms to your body, providing proper support for your spine, neck, and head.

Cooling Mesh Material

The Typhon Ergonomic Chair is upholstered in a cooling mesh material that is both comfortable and breathable. This helps to keep you cool and comfortable even during long hours of sitting.

Not Too Soft

Although a soft gaming seat may feel comfortable initially, it will eventually cause pain in your back and neck. When your gaming chair is too soft, it does not provide the necessary support to keep your spine in its natural position for extended periods.

Sturdy Construction

The Typhon Ergonomic Chair is built to last with a sturdy steel frame and high-quality components. It can support up to 300 lbs and has a 5-year warranty.

Most notably, the chair is weighty and sturdy. We were also pleased to find that it produces no sounds when you rotate or adjust any of its moving parts; this can only be attributed to excellent build quality.

The chair, as mentioned, has plenty of options when it comes to the moving parts themselves. The height can be easily adjusted with one of the levers located on either side of the chair. By pulling or pushing this lever, you can lock or unlock the mechanism so that you can sway backward or stay firmly in place.

The other lever (which you can't touch until the chair is completely assembled) controls the backrest tilt. It works similarly to a car in that when you pull it, the backrest tilts as you push it down almost horizontally.

Once you're sat up and moved away from the lever, the backrest will return automatically to its upright position. Then there are armrests with small buttons which allow you to change their height/width and set them at an angle too.

Comfort Level

The Typhon's high level of comfort is unsurprising, given everything else that has been stated about the chair. However, it may not be as cushiony as you're used to. That said, the chair's ergonomics are more than makeup for this slight difference. The material is also less prone to wear and tear, as the upholstery is tightly fitted around the chair with fewer connective seams throughout.

The seat and backrest curve slightly to hug your body, keeping you firmly in place. Additionally, the chair comes with two velour memory foam pillows - one for your head and another for your spine. Not only are these pillows aesthetically pleasing, but they're also highly functional.

The soft memory foam of this chair contours to your body, providing unmatched comfort. The backrest reclines almost horizontally, making it easy to fall asleep (I know from experience).

  • The Typhon Gaming Chair was created to be comfortable
  • The lumbar support system is built-in, and the materials are breathable.
  • The rich leather and ample cushioning make this chair a comfortable option for long hours at the desk.
  • The chair, made from long-lasting materials, comes with a 5-year warranty.
  • This job will help promote neck health as it has adjustable armrests and a rotating headrest.
  • Not only is this chair comfortable, but it also comes with a pillow.
  • A step-by-step installation guide

  • It may be too heavy for some users.
  • The downside to tough construction is that it could hurt your toes. (not valid in everyone's case).
  • It is a bit expensive as compared to other chairs in the market (but keep in mind that it's worth the price)

The Final Say

If all the above has yet to convince you that Eureka Ergonomic's Typhon is worth getting, we don't know what will. While its price is a bit steep, going from around 500 to 650 dollars (depending on when you buy, by the time we are writing this review, there is a black Friday sale going on, you can grab it for as low as $480) for the quality fabric and prime leather models, we can guarantee it's well worth it.

Choosing a Typhon model in their new signature fabric and the blue color - we had no clue that we would get such a high-quality chair that my backside would be honored to sit in.

You might think something other than a gaming and ergonomic chair is essential, but you would probably spend more money on a better mattress. It doesn't matter if you're sitting at your desk job or gaming for long periods— comfort is priceless, and the Typhon provides the best comfort for your money.
