As of my last update, the types of AZs in AWS included:

- Local Zones are suitable for workloads that require low-latency access to AWS resources in specific cities.

Wavelength Zones:
- Wavelength Zones are designed to provide ultra-low-latency access to AWS services for 5G applications.
- They are deployed in close proximity to mobile network operators' 5G networks.
- Wavelength Zones are ideal for latency-sensitive applications, such as AR/VR, gaming, and real-time video processing.
Please note that the availability and types of AZs may vary by AWS region, and AWS continues to expand and introduce new infrastructure options. When architecting your applications on AWS, it's essential to consider the specific AZ types available in your chosen region to optimize for availability, latency, and fault tolerance.
