Most science students want to be engineers when they grow up. India has a lot of B.Tech. in Electronics & Communication engineering graduates because most students go into engineering without knowing what they like or what they want to do after B.Tech. In this situation, where the Indian job market seems to be full of engineers, now is the time to decide what you want to do after getting your B.Tech.   1. Institute Placements for B.Tech.: After engineering, college placements are one of the most popular jobs. They are now an important part of what good engineering institutes offer. Campus placements put you in touch with recruiters without much work on your part, and they can help you get a good job.
  2. Higher Studies courses following B.Tech.: One of the most popular things to do after engineering is to go for Masters course. After a person finishes a B.Tech. course, it makes sense for them to go on to an M.Tech. program. You can study for the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) exam, which will test how well you know engineering subjects from your undergraduate degree and help you get into the IITs and NITs for your M.Tech.
  3. Getting experience in the field: While getting your B.Tech., you can do an internship. This will help you get the work experience you need before you start looking for jobs after you get your B.Tech. Through internships, you can find out how the things you've learned in class can be used in the real world.
  4. A Job at a PSU (public sector undertaking): PSUs are companies that are partly owned by either the state or the central government, or both. Some of the most well-known PSU companies are BHEL, LIC, NALCO, and Hindustan Copper Limited. If you have a B.Tech., you can join a PSU and get a good job. To get into management, you can take the CAT (Common Aptitude Test) and get a good score to get into the management college of your choice.
  6. Take the test to get into the civil service: If you want to serve your country, the best thing you can do after engineering is take the Civil Service Exam. You will need to pass the UPSC civil services exam to do this.
  7. Entrepreneurship: You can also go into business for yourself after engineering. No longer do engineering graduates shy away from starting their own businesses. Many engineers want to start their own businesses because they see how successful many startups are.
  8. Work in the private sector: Most of the jobs you can get with a B.Tech. from top Engineering Colleges in Delhi NCR are in technical fields. Any engineering graduate can get a good job in the private sector as well as in the public sector. B.Tech graduates are hired as researchers, consultants, subject matter experts, and more, in addition to being hired as engineers.
