When can a wife ask for Khula?
In Islam, khula in Pakistan is the right of a Muslim woman to seek a divorce from her husband. It gives her the option to end her marriage if she feels that it is no longer viable or fulfilling. However, there are certain conditions and circumstances under which a wife can ask for khula.

Ground of Khula:
If the husband has committed acts of cruelty or abuse towards his wife, she has every right to request khula. This includes physical violence, emotional abuse, and neglect. The well-being and safety of the wife should always be prioritized.

Conflict between Both Parties:
If there is irreconcilable conflict between spouses that cannot be resolved through counseling or mediation, then the wife may choose to pursue khula as an alternative solution. When efforts at reconciliation have been exhausted without success, seeking divorce becomes a valid option.

Financial issue:
Financial issues can also play a role in when a wife can ask for khula in Pakistan. If the husband fails to fulfill his financial responsibilities towards his family despite repeated requests and reminders from the wife or other concerned parties such as relatives or religious authorities.

Lastly but importantly if both parties agree on separation mutually known as Mubarat then this would also fall under when wives can ask for Khula.

Overall, khula provides women with an avenue to escape unhappy marriages and seek happiness elsewhere. It ensures that their rights are protected within Islamic law while recognizing their agency in making decisions about their own lives
