For the Thrill Seekers
Dallas has a lot of ways to get your adrenaline pumping. In the city, you can try high-speed go-karts or take the plunge by skydiving over Dallas-Fort Worth. Groups can also bring out their inner cowboys as spectators at the Cowtown Coliseum.
For the Sports Enthusiast
The city has a rich sports culture, perfect for groups and grooms who live and breathe ESPN. Time the bachelor party to a home game for the Dallas Cowboys, MLB’s Texas Rangers who play nearby, the Mavericks for hoops, or hockey’s Dallas Stars.
For the Bar Fly
Not only does Dallas offer a number of great bars and nightclubs for your weekend in the city, but you can also check out one of its many craft breweries. Three options to start include Turning Point Beer, Celestial Beer works and Texas Ale Project.
There are also great distilleries where you can taste or tour, including Deep Elum and Duckworth for vodka and Herman Marshall for whisky just outside of town.
What Do You Do at a Bachelor Party in Dallas?
Follow our three-day itinerary for the ultimate bachelor party in Dallas that will have you eating good food, drinking great cocktails and beer, and enjoying plenty of fun. After all, everything is bigger in Texas.
Day 1
Morning:
After checking into your home for the weekend, head to Kuby’s to get your weekend off to a meaty start. The German sausage house also happens to be a fantastic breakfast joint, where you can fill up on breakfast biscuits loaded with house made sausage or bacon, eggs, and cheese, or smoked pork chops served with two eggs, any style, and country potatoes.
Afternoon:
Keep the fun going with a friendly competition at Bad Axe, where you can book a private lane for you and the boys to battle it out in an axe-throwing contest. Bad Axe has hosted a number of celebrities including Charles Barkley and Hugh Jackman, so it’s time to put your own muscle to the test. Book ahead to have the lane to yourself, and enjoy some of Texas’s best craft brews which are offered at the venue.
Evening:
Rather than a traditional happy hour, get to know the city on a Dallas Party Bike. The man-powered ride tours through downtown Dallas and Deep Ellum, stopping at pubs and bars along the way. Plus you can drink beer and wine while you pedal.
Then it’s off to dinner at Serious Pizza where you’ll find seriously good pies that are seriously good. The restaurant has a floating DJ booth and live-action dough throwers — oh and did we mention 30-inch pizzas? Set in Deep Ellum, dinner puts you in the perfect spot to spend the rest of the night.
Choose from a number of bar options including Dots Hop House and Cocktail Courtyard for 99 beers on tap or cocktails on their 10,000-square foot patio; Truth & Alibi if you’re looking for a password-required speakeasy; Louie Louie’s Piano Bar for live music and a lot of fun; or Mama Tried for an outdoor country music venue and with a legendary honky tonk vibe.
Day 2
Morning:
Head to brunch at The Porch where you can start the day with micheladas and hot fried chicken and biscuits, among other tasty menu items.
Afternoon:
Today is the day to enjoy what Dallas has to offer in the craft beer scene. On a Brewery Tour of North Texas, a knowledgeable guide leads you to some of the best spots in Dallas-Fort Worth on a four-hour tour that includes tastings at three different breweries and behind-the-scenes tours. Add lunch to your tour to make sure you’re filled up during your excursion.
Evening:
Tonight it’s time for Texas barbecue and you should look no further than Terry Black’s BBQ for the real deal (don’t miss the brisket). End the night with a nightclub vibe at Harlowe MXM where you’ll find multiple bars, live music and DJs, and a large outdoor space.
If the nightclub vibe isn’t your scene, head to Scout, where you can book a lane for late-night bowling and games along with beers and cocktails.
Day 3
Morning:
Start the day at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar where you’ll find delicious bloody Mary’s along with Southern favorites like chicken and waffles, maple bacon donuts, chicken fried steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, and shrimp ’n’ grits.
Afternoon:
For your last day, spend time on the water. At the Party Cove at Lake Lewisville, you can charter a boat that will take you out on the lake where other boaters and revellers will be drinking, dancing, and enjoying the day right in the center of the lake.
It’s Dallas’s version of a Vegas pool party. If you’d rather stay on dry land, consider a little paintball war at Cousins Paintball, where you can partake in high-energy, high-stakes games.
Evening:
It’s not a guys’ weekend without a steak night, so be sure to make a reservation for your last night’s dinner at Chamberlain’s where you’ll find various cuts ranging from American Bison strip steak to peppered 40-day aged filet mignon to double cut lamb chops alongside other menu items like lobster tail thermidor, seared ahi tuna, and jumbo lump crab cakes.
End the weekend with live music and beers at The Rustic, cocktails at the Midnight Rambler, or the rooftop scene at Waterproof for views of the Dallas skyline.
