Where do hyenas live?

Hyenas are native to Africa and some parts of Asia. They can be found in a variety of habitats including savannas, forests, deserts, and mountains. Spotted hyenas are the most common species and are found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, while striped hyenas are found in northern and eastern Africa, the Middle East, and western Asia. Brown hyenas can be found in southern Africa, while aardwolves are found in eastern and southern Africa.
