All the Minecraft Cheats and Commands you'll ever Require

6 min read

Minecraft cheats can be used with commands, special code inputs that are entered into the console and enable you to modify features and elements of your game, such as teleporting, creating items and more. Unfortunately , you can only play this game when playing the PC version of the game, in which Minecraft cheats are properly implemented. Players playing PlayStation, Xbox, Switch or Mobile versions of Minecraft aren't able to cheat sadly, but for those who are PC users we can demonstrate how to have almost total control and use Minecraft cheats and commands to your heart's content, as well as a full command list to use from.

How to use Minecraft commands

You can make use of cheats in Minecraft by using Java Edition or Bedrock Edition.

Open Minecraft singleplayer Create a new world

Go to Game Settings

Click on "Allow Cheats" to toggle it on.

Generate and join the world

Once inside the world press the forward slash key (/) to open the chat window.

Enter the command , then press enter.

(You can also make use of the up/down arrow keys to navigate through previous commands)

If cheats are desired for a game you have already begun you can make them from the Game Settings menu by pressing ESC and editing it in the Game Settings menu. However, you'll have to be the creator and owner of the world that you're in. Visitors to your world can't modify or alter it since it's not their world to make this change.

Instead of typing individual player names into the prompt instead, you can make use of these shortcuts to select specific targets to your command:

@p = The closest player to you.

@r is a random player

@a = all players in the world

@e = All entities in the world

@s = you

Coordinates are expressed as x,y,z. x is the distance east (+) or west (-) from the origin point. z is south (+), or north (-) from the origin point. The height is between zero and 255, 64 being sea level. You can also use tilde (~) or caret (^) notation, which is a number to express relative coordinates offset from your current location and the notation by itself representing ~0 or ^0 ie zero offset. Tilde offsets are based on the world coordinates, which means that ~5 ~ ~-5 would be 5 blocks +5 on the x (east), no blocks on y (same height) and 5 blocks on the z (north). Caret offsets are calculated based on which direction the player's head is facing in relation to the forward, left and upward axes. Therefore, 5 -5 would mean five blocks left, five blocks upwards (same height) 5 blocks backward.
