How Tragedy Spurs Creativity

The human experience is characterized by both loss and creativity. When we experience a personal loss, creativity seems to be the natural way out. This is especially true for writers and creatives, as tragedy and trauma tend to spur creativity in them. It forces them to step up, speak up, and serve up.

The creative process is heavily influenced by our emotions, which serve as stepping stones. These emotions are filtered by our understanding of certain events and memories of previous events and are eventually transformed into a form of art that we are skilled in. The emotions we experience and creatively express in different art forms become the thread of experience that connects a creator with their audience.

In times of tragedy or difficult circumstances, we must respond with urgency, practicality, and creativity. This allows us to look within and figure out how to give our personal situations a unique form by tapping into the talents we are already blessed with. It is often the best opportunity to take up something we’ve always wanted to do, such as writing poetry, blogs, novels, or creating artwork.

It is essential to remember that our suffering not only equips us to survive the tough times but also creates a new reality for ourselves. This new reality is one that reshapes our future and equips us with new skills and strengths that we may not have discovered otherwise.

It is vital to remain positive and not allow periods of trauma and tragedy to dull our spirits or fill us with fear. Instead, we should consciously create a picture of the reality we dream of, one filled with peace, joy, and positivity for ourselves and those around us!
