ILands Is A Decent Substitute Sandbox Game

iLands is a game available for iPhone and iPad. It's free for iOS 4.3 and up. iLands Premium can be purchased for US $3.99. If you're not looking to shell out $6.99 for Minecraft - Pocket Edition, then this is the game for you. You start with a fresh block world to build on and then customize it however you want.

The graphics are decent in comparison to Minecraft the Pocket Edition, but they could be better. The D-pad is located on the left side of the screen allows strafing, moving forwards and backwards. Sometimes the D-pad can be a bit difficult to use. It takes some time to get used to, but it's doable for the majority of the time. The control on the right is only for jumping up and has worked pretty well. The experience of navigating the terrain was a bit jerky, especially when you had to leap over obstacles. Sometime the touch targets wouldn't respond until I touched them several times. It would take more than two taps to break dirt, grass, or blocks by using the X button. While I was building and exploring my Solo world frequently, the game crashed.

A base of building materials is given to you. These include grass, sand and bricks. The steel skeleton blocks are unique to iLands as I've never seen anything similar to them in Minecraft - Pocket Edition. Steel skeleton blocks are awesome because they let you build a solid structure and still enjoying daylight, which is not the case when building with solid blocks. I really enjoyed building with the cobblestone to construct houses and roads. Igralni The materials with locks can be unlocked by purchasing the full version. For this review , I played the free version.

If you're looking for a survival mode that is similar to Minecraft - Pocket Edition, you will not find it in the free version of iLands. I'm not sure if the survival mode is available in the full-priced version. I usually play in creative mode every day in Minecraft - Pocket Edition anyway, so I didn't find it a problem in iLands.

If you love building blocks in a virtual environment, iLands is a worthwhile free download. I'd love to know what all the paid version of the game permits users to do aside from unlocking building materials. I loved building buildings, as well as any other projects my imagination could come up with.

iLands is a good substitute for Sandbox games
