The interview consists of 3 primary rounds. Objective, Subjective and Coding. After that, there are 2 additional rounds if the tests are cleared. These rounds work as follows:

  • The Objective or MCQ round:

This round has 50 questions which are based on various topics like OOPs, pointers, etc. the duration is 50 minutes. The test might also include some aptitude questions. 

  • The subjective round:

This round has 1 output prediction-based question and 3 coding problems. The time given for this section is 75 minutes. Practice some coding problems while preparing for the interview itself. Check your timing and improve as much as you can. 

  • The Coding round:

This round is designed to test your coding skills. It consists of 3 coding questions which need to be solved within a time limit of 75 minutes.

These interviews take place in the following manner:

  • Interview Round 1:

The duration for these interviews is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Herein, interviewers ask candidates about their approaches to various kinds of problems. The way you answer and the accuracy of your answer, both matter here.

  • Interview Round 2:

Practice is the key to success! More than anything else, practice your codes, time your attempts, and keep trying over and over again. First and foremost, plan your preparation so that you have ample amount of time to go through every important aspect and practice perfection.

Here are some tips that will help you efficiently practice and ace the tests:

  • Develop a Habit for Reading:

Refer to past Josh technology interview experience of other candidates. Their verdict does not matter. Look at the questions and then try to identify your weaknesses and strengths. Carefully look at the time slots given and time your attempts accordingly.

  • Focus on implementation:

While reading past interviews, try to practically test your knowledge by practising problem-solving and coding. It is great to be learning from others' experiences.   • Go through every minute detail of your project:

If you have worked on proper projects, make sure you know everything about it. Describe your project in a manner that suggests that you went all out for it. Keep in mind your experience of the project and use it wherever you can. It is recommended that you attempt self-projects to make you an even better candidate. Try to develop this aspect into a habit as it will be beneficial to enhance Goldman Sachs interview experience as well.

  • Assess your strengths and weaknesses:

When you start going over your notes, see whether there are any topics you find difficult. Do not ignore or skip anything. Keep attempting coding problems, regardless of whether you are able to solve them perfectly. Remember that perfection can be achieved only through continuous and conscious efforts.
