Kim Woo-min won the gold medal with a time of 14 minutes 58.03 seconds in the men's 1500m final of the 'KB Financial Korea Swimming Championships' held on the 22nd at the Gimcheon Indoor Swimming Pool in Gyeongsangbuk-do in conjunction with the 2024 Paris Olympics Management National Team Selection Tournament.
In addition, Kim Woo-min passed the Paris Olympic standard time (OQT) of 15 minutes 00.99 seconds and earned the right to participate in the Paris Olympics.
After the game, Kim Woo-min said through his management company All That Sports, “I feel good that I made a good start by exceeding the standard record in the first game of the national team selection. “He helped me a lot with managing my stamina for the 400m freestyle and running the race,” he said.
He added, “I will participate in all freestyle events in this selection, and I want to continue the momentum of winning the 1500m and achieve good results in all of them.”
Kim Woo-min is a mid- to long-distance figure in Korean management.
