Barcelona's request to FIFA is in accordance with the rules. From the existing rules, FIFA can provide compensation to clubs whose players are injured due to playing with the national team in the FIFA Matchday event.
This rule can only apply if the player is confirmed to be injured for more than 28 days or four weeks. Araujo's recovery time, which is twice that, is certain to be sufficient to get the compensation.
