Ha Yun-ki (25, KT) and Lee Jung-hyun (25, Sono), both in their third year of professional basketball, have become the best in their positions.

KT defeated Goyang Sono 92-89 on Friday in the fifth round of the 2023-204 Korean Professional Basketball League at Goyang Gymnasium. Riding a three-game winning streak, second-ranked KT (25-13) chased down leader DB (30-9). Sono (13W-26L), which has lost four straight, dropped to ninth place.

KT led 76-74 midway through the fourth quarter when Bass and Ha Yoon-ki hit back-to-back dunks to tie the game. Moon Sung-gon made both of his free throws with nine seconds left in regulation. Ha finished with 25 points and eight rebounds.

Despite the loss, Lee Jung-hyun put up an unbelievable stat line of 27 points, nine assists, and five steals. In the KBL, where foreign players make up more than 50% of the roster, it's impressive that a Korean player is pouring in the most points in every game.

In the 2021 draft, Lee Won-seok was the first overall pick for Samsung. Ha Yoon-ki, who has a history of knee injuries, slipped to the second spot and joined KT. Lee Jung-hyun, the best guard in college, was selected third overall by Sono's predecessor Orion.

In the end, the second and third picks were the most beneficial. Ha and Lee have quickly emerged as two of the best centers and guards in professional basketball. This season, Ha is averaging 16.5 points (10th overall) and 7 rebounds. 안전놀이터 His rebounding numbers are tops among Korean players.

Lee Jung-hyun is even more impressive. With 20.4 points per game, he's sixth in the league and leads all Korean players in scoring. His 6.4 assists per game is also second overall, behind only Lee Sun Albano (6.8). If Sono's team performance is any indication, he could easily win the regular season MVP award.

Former No. 1 overall pick Lee Won-seok is still a promising prospect with 7.9 points and six rebounds this season. He's not just a draft pick anymore.
