Reason: No dedicated server information Multiplayer co-op is available in Astroneer for up to 4 players playing with clients across different platforms: PS4 with PS4, Steam and Steam, Switch with Switch. There isn't a way to crossplay with co-op other than the Windows Store and Xbox versions.

Multiplayer mode requires that all players who are connected to the game play the same version. game servers an a lot of fun The host of the game may experience performance issues as their computer processes more information. Unlocked progress achievements or rewards aren't shared with those who join after the game has been completed. Anyone who joins your game must be friends with your platform. One player must start a game like a solo game and be outside their shelter for a friend to join.

Steam Users []
Steam users can only join co-op games with friends on Steam. To invite or join friends it is recommended to make use of Steam.
Xbox & Windows 10 Crossplay[]
You can invite another player to join your Xbox game by using the Xbox party feature. This feature is available on the Windows Xbox app and Xbox.
When they accept the invitation it will redirect them to your game. Once they see the tiny house icon on the world they will know if they have connected.
PS4[]
PS4 users cannot join co-op with friends who are also on PS4.
Switch[]
Switch is the most recent platform. It offers both local wireless co-op as well as Internet co-op with Switch friends. Switch does not have a choice to play crossplay with other platforms.
Dedicated Servers []
Dedicated Servers are available for those who wish to play together, however they are on different platforms. They can also be useful for those who want to play with more than four total players. Dedicated servers allow for up to 8 players. Based on the platform you play on, as well as the platform of the player you wish to play with, there are some alternatives.
- Steam and PS4 versions can also lease a dedicated server from Nitrado or Gportal. They also have the option of hosting their own servers so long as they have a computer that can host. - Microsoft versions of the game are able to use dedicated servers that are rented from a Microsoft Preferred provider, currently Nitrado or Gportal. Microsoft will not allow self-hosted servers to be connected. The - Switch has no choice regarding dedicated servers. Other players
To find players for your group, visit the multiplayer channels on the Official Astroneer Discord Server. Send a message to the channel and other players will send you DMs. Then, the chat between yourself should continue.
