With so much happening in the solar industry, it is not quite easy to keep a track on which companies are marching ahead and which states are emerging as big players.
So, here we have all the important information at one place to help you decode India’s domestic solar manufacturing market in a more visual and easy to understand way!
Let us first begin by looking at the top 10 domestic manufacturing companies by capacities and their investments. Here we can see that Waaree Energies is leading followed by Vikram Solar, and Mundra Solar with over 2 GW per annum manufacturing capacity each.
But, how much are these companies investing in each state and what are their planned capacities in those states? For that, let us look at the this state-wise planned capacities and investments data.
We can see that Gujarat comfortably sits at the top spot with over 6.6 GW of planned capacity from domestic manufacturers such as Waaree Energies, Mundra Solar, Rayson Solar, and Goldi Solar. The overall investment planned for Gujarat by all these firms stand at $27 billion.
