Tanya Jacobey Announces a Campaign for Her Son —Jason Jacobey
2 min read
Tanya Jacobey is running a campaign to prove the innocence of her son and let him have a fair trial. Help her reform the District Attorney (DA)’s power in the process. #JusticeForJason is a campaign started by Tanya to help her son defend against the wrongful accusations made by his wife — Ms. Gordon. He has been bullied online since 2016. Ms. Gordon, along with a bully, ran an online defamation campaign to accuse Jason of battery and abuse. This led the Athens-Clarke County DA to deal Jason’s case with prejudice. It led to Jason’s imprisonment even before a trial could be finalized. As a result of these baseless rumors, people started to complain to the police on an online YouTube video that has since been taken offline. People did not even know him, yet they went against him. It is a crime to wrongfully accuse someone and to be an accomplice to a crime. The trial even shocked Judge Stevens, when he found out that Jason was imprisoned because of an internet smear campaign and a video! “Wait, a felony for a YouTube video?” Judge Stevens famously remarked. The shocking part about this entire episode is that the authorities, including the DA, have not even bothered to hear his side of the case, yet he is imprisoned. Will you support us in this campaign to have Jason released and heard? If you believe in a free trial and want to stand against bullying, then visit the following link to sign up for #JusticeForJason. Join the campaign to help a mother reunite with her son! Facebook
