HR professionals are growing in demand as companies are looking to better structure their talent culture. Companies need them to build and plan human capital, administer learning and development programs, and drive work culture. As companies continue to realize the importance of human resource management and talent development, need for competent human resource managers will increase.

So how can one progress towards a career in HR?

HR is a broad field with several roles, where each role requires a specific set of skills. Ranging from Talent Acquisition to Compensation and Benefits manager—to get started in any of the role one requires at least a bachelor’s degree in human resources. However, that’s not a mandatory pre-requisite. Most companies hire for HR positions irrespective of their educational background as long as they have the required skills.
