What do Mormons believe?

Mormons, also known as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, believe in:

• God - they believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost as three distinct and separate beings, who are united in purpose and doctrine.

• The Book of Mormon - they believe it to be another testament of Jesus Christ alongside the Bible.

• Prophets - they believe in modern-day prophets and apostles, inspired by God to lead and guide the church.

• The Plan of Salvation - they believe that God's plan for his children is to provide a way for them to return to live with Him after this life. This plan includes the Atonement of Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.

• Families - they believe that families can be together forever through ordinances performed in temples.

• Obedience - they believe in being obedient to God's commandments and striving to live a Christ-like life.

• Service - they believe in serving others and doing good in the world as inspired by Christ's example.

• Personal revelation - they believe that every individual can receive personal revelation from God through prayer, meditation, and reading scripture.

Mormons also hold high values of honesty, integrity, morality, obedience to laws, and education.
