Minecraft mobs are the living entities of Minecraft - short for mobile, these sometimes cute, and sometimes encounter aggressive creatures in the numerous biomes of the world of Minecraft. They can interact and respond to you, other players and other mobs. Whether there's a creeper at your door, or a pig in the pen in your back garden.
Mobs in Minecraft are prone to the same changes in the environment and physical effects that affect players. They are able to be killed and attacked with weapons, and when killed drop points of experience and resources and experience points, while hostile mobs drop rarer items on occasion.
In Creative mode, Minecraft mobs will never attack you, but they can be divided into three behavioural categories in Survival and Hardcore modes, which are passive, neutral, and hostile. Utility mobs such as the iron golem and snowgolem can be crafted to assist you in fighting off hostile mobs. Mobs that trust you are unable to be controlled, but they can be controlled in a variety of ways. These include dolphins, ocelots, and even the adorable Minecraft Fox. Minecraft passive mobs
Minecraft passive mobs won't attack you, but they will run away when attacked. They can breed, so you'll see infant animals in the same place. Most passive mobs can be controlled, if they're not already, like horses in Minecraft. There are also the inhabitants of Minecraft villages, including traders and villagers. Other farmyard buddies can offer resources, like wool from sheeps or milk from cows.

Minecraft neutral mobs
If you are provoked, neutral creatures in Minecraft will attack you. This can be beneficial if you're looking for items or XP. Certain mobs, for example wolves can attack other mobs, such as rabbits or sheep. Llamas are more aggressive against wild wolves. You can find Minecraft bees in plains or flower forests. Also, you can create beehives from honeycomb and wood planks.

Minecraft hostile mobs
Hostile mobs in Minecraft are aggressive and dangerous and will attack you within a certain range, usually 16 blocks, without obstruction. Some mobs are able to detect you as far as 100 blocks away. Mobs that fly, such as the Minecraft Phantom, will spawn above and attempt to attack you. A boss mob is a specific kind of enemy that has a greater detection range and has more health. Examples include the Minecraft Dragon that enders and the Minecraft Wither.
