Shibarium Hard Fork Marks a Milestone in Shiba Inu Ecosystem

1 min read

The team behind Shibarium has announced an upcoming hard fork aimed at enhancing the layer-2 scaling solution. This critical update, outlined in SHIB Magazine, focuses on improving transaction processing and network performance, marking a significant milestone in Shibarium’s development.

The first phase of the hard fork has already been implemented, addressing issues related to transaction processing and network partitions. The Bor hard fork prioritizes augmenting state sync confirmations and delaying state sync confirmation, which tackles a critical bug affecting the network.

Following Bor, the Heimdall hard fork is scheduled for May 3 to improve transaction confirmation reliability and achieve “deterministic finality,” enhancing network integrity. Amidst these developments, the community remains focused on the potential implementation of the SHIB auto-burn portal. Recent whale activity, such as the transfer of 1.75 trillion SHIB tokens from Robinhood, adds to the market’s speculation about potential price impacts and future network enhancements.
