Perhaps we should move to Hawaii. It is here, on the island of Kauai, where the "top-secret complex" Koolau Ranch is currently being built on an area of 560 hectares. Despite the fact that the construction is only partially completed, this complex can already be safely called one of the most expensive personal construction projects in modern history. After all, no less than 270 million dollars have been allocated for it.

At the same time on the territory of the complex is planned more than a dozen buildings and two central mansions. Ground buildings with a total area of 5000 square meters will be connected by a tunnel. The latter, in turn, leads to an underground shelter. And, curiously, its size is nothing short of marvelous. You see, we are talking about an area of 464 square meters. There is also an emergency hatch, which can be accessed thanks to a ladder.

It is important to note the fact that Koolau Ranch will have its own supplies of food, water and energy. And guests of the complex will be able to visit the gym, tennis court, swimming pools and even a sauna. Residents will be able to move around thanks to rope bridges. As for security, so far we are talking only about a two-meter fence. By the way, the latter has received regular complaints from local residents. You see, now they don't have the opportunity to enjoy the ocean view. Except that Zuckerberg doesn't seem to care at all.

But why exactly is this about preparing for the apocalypse and not just another suburban estate? If we believe the insiders who shared the construction plans, Mark Zuckerberg's complex promises to become completely self-sufficient. In addition to the mentioned reserves, the territory is provided with food from the ranch and agricultural land. The latter are spread over 1,400 acres.

However, more precise details are unlikely to be available for now. You see, the founder of Facebook made all the builders sign a non-disclosure agreement on the terms and details of the construction. And no one dares to test their fate yet. After all, one of the workers who published a photo of the site on social networks immediately said goodbye to his position.
